We are excited to announce that we have applied for a FM radio station permit to serve Vieques, PR and surrounding areas in emergency situations! This radio station will allow for both community expression and engagement as well as ensure remote neighborhoods receive critical information in the aftermath of disaster. Currently, information is distributed via speakers mounted in pickup trucks, an unreliable and dangerous way to inform the community after earthquakes or hurricanes. We are working with community partners to ensure continued operation in all conditions.
