YEARS CREATING ART AS "JUANDELPUEBL0"

“Collectivity eases the load and multiplies imagination;

JuandelPuebl0

JuandelPuebl0 was born in 2015 with the purpose of transmitting ideas and symbolism through large-scale murals. With each piece, he seeks to open a window to art for everyone, turning his work into an educational tool that raises awareness beyond the distractions of today’s society.

His specialized technique, pointillism, is a testament to the discipline required to build something lasting. It allows him to explore the vibration that emerges from the contrast of each dot, letting the artwork dictate its own necessary ending. JuandelPuebl0 operates with a clear, rooted understanding of his source. Nature inspires all of his work, from his murals and canvases to his digital art. He loves merging natural elements because he finds a powerful and essential force that transcends social norms.

As an artist, his purpose acts as a reminder that being present means recognizing that nature guides our path as a species, not the other way around. He is committed to honoring that energy and aims to touch the hearts of those who have drifted away from it, reminding them that nature is our greatest source of inspiration and guidance. This is art that doesn't wait for permission; it demands a fundamental shift in perspective.

THE COMMUNITY THROUGH COLORS

COLLABORATION

JuandelPuebl0’s only collaboration with Community Through Colors so far was on “Pitirre.” The project was conceived by Juan and his mentor, El NiNo, for Burning Man 2025. “Pitirre” was inspired by Puerto Rico’s Gray Kingbird, a tiny but fearless bird that defends its territory even against larger predators, taking flight from the desert as a large-scale, interactive sculpture. This project came to represent resilience, unity, and the voice of a small island: Puerto Rico.

Juan has called his collaboration with CTC, “one of the most transformative experiences of his life.” During the process, he experienced collective wisdom and community-building in action. Not just practical support, but a full team that believed in the vision from the very first sketch, bringing in technical knowledge, logistics, and budgeting and fundraising experience that allowed him to focus on what truly matters: the message.

This partnership proved that collectivity eases the load and multiplies imagination. He learned to trust the team's ability to translate his visual intuitions into technical solutions, with every meeting acting as a lesson and every misstep becoming just a step closer to the final piece. The process was defined by humility and gratitude for the whole team as they learned to accept input and recognize that a personal vision grows immensely when others inhabit and reinterpret it.

Through this collaborative process, the team dared to test, fail, and reinvent solutions together, turning clumsy moments into fond memories and hard work into creative joy. This is the heart of CTC's focus: ensuring that art, when shared, has the power to transform both spaces and people. The resulting work is not just the artist's; it belongs to the entire team, to everyone who gave their hands, time, and heart, proving that through collaboration, the message can be amplified to reach a much larger community.

2025
PITIRRE

A powerful and culturally resonant project conceived with JuandelPuebl0. The singing, “ridable” sculpture of Puerto Rico’s Gray Kingbird debuted at Burning Man as a vibrant embodiment of Puerto Rico's spirit, ready to connect with a diverse audience from all corners of the world.

“’Pitirre’ isn’t just a sculpture—it’s a living expression of collaboration, cultural pride, and shared purpose. It taught me that art reaches its highest form when it belongs to everyone who helped bring it to life.

SHARED PURPOSE
“For me, “community” means connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. As an artist, I see community as the living heart that gives meaning to creation. My work begins with a personal vision, but it only becomes complete when others join in — lending their hands, stories, and energy. Community transforms art from a personal expression into a collective voice that reflects who we are together.”

COMMUNITY

Beauty Through Unity

For JuandelPuebl0, community is the living heart that gives meaning to creation and the force that transforms personal vision into a collective voice. He calls the art a bridge that unites people beyond language or background, opening conversations, healing, and inspiring transformation. It reminds us of our shared humanity and potential to create beauty through unity.

The Living Expression of Collaboration

The Pitirre project serves as the definitive proof of this power. Created for the global Burning Man community, the installation is a living expression of collaboration and cultural pride. The Pitirre bird itself is a symbol of Puerto Rico: small, brave, and fiercely protective of its home. Bringing that spirit to the desert connected the island’s story with a global collective of dreamers and makers, affirming that even the smallest voices can stand tall and inspire.

Creating Belonging and Pride

According to JuandelPuebl0, the construction experience with the Burning Man crew, volunteers, and friends coming together to fund and manifest the vision is what made it truly special. This collective contribution proves that art reaches its highest form when it belongs to everyone. Public art and community workshops are vital because they make creativity accessible to everyone, inviting participation, not just observation. When people contribute to a collective piece, they leave a part of themselves in it, creating belonging and pride.

These projects turn public spaces into places of inspiration and belonging, strengthening bonds and reminding people that their voices matter. Ultimately, this collaborative process is how we activate environments and find the resilience we need to create something beautiful together.

“Now, when I look at the work, I feel it’s not just mine—it belongs to the entire team, to everyone who gave their hands, time, and heart. That sense of community is what keeps me creating—knowing that art, when shared, has the power to transform both spaces and people.”

IMPACT

For JuandelPuebl0, the experience was a profound lesson in humility and collective wisdom, transforming his personal vision into a process powered by a supportive, technical team. This team, in turn, found joy and amplified purpose in translating his visual intuitions into the magnificent, solar-powered reality of Pitirre: a living expression of Puerto Rican culture and shared purpose.

For the audience, this work is a crucial reminder: nature guides our path as a species, and creativity is our greatest source of inspiration. When people encounter the art and the story behind it, it uplifts their spirit and renews their sense of hope.

Supporting organizations like CTC is an investment in cultural growth, collaboration, and human connection. They are essential because they bring art directly into communities, fostering the creativity that has the power to heal, unite, and inspire lasting change. When CTC thrives, entire communities thrive—because we are actively building the tools to save ourselves, and that starts with shared purpose and color.
